Education
- Born on 9th of July 1960 in Eskisehir.
- Completed primary education in 1971.
- Had lower secondary education in T. E. D. Ankara Orta Okulu (Ankara College) (Honours and High Honours).
- Completed upper secondary education in American Robert High School (Robert College) in 1978.
- Left Aegean University, Faculty of Sciences, Department of Astronomy - Mathematics after the first year.
- Restarted University education in Bosphorus University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, in 1979.
- Transferred to Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History in 1980, received B. A. Degree in June 1985.
- Enrolled in a post-graduate program on Ottoman Social History in the same department for another year.
- Attended University College London, School of Library, Archive and Information Studies (with full scholarship from the Turkish Education Foundation), received M. A. Degree in Overseas Archives and Records Management Studies in December 1987.
- Has enrolled in Ph. D. programs in Istanbul and Marmara Universities on Management & Organization, Organizational Behaviour and Business Management, attending courses to a total of 48 credit hours.
- Completed Ph. D. on archives and records management, at Marmara University in 2002.
- Became an Associate Professor in 2004.
- Also holds the title of "Registered Archivist and Records Manager" from the Society of Archivists (UK) since 12 October 1995.
