Special Interest Activities

• Have been an active radio amateur interested in disaster communications, since 2000.
• Have authored the 'Electronic Communications School' pages of Macworld Türkiye from September 1996 to July 2000.
• Have founded the first and the only Archives and Records Management mailing list in Turkish, Architurk on the 75th Anniversary of the Turkish Republic (29 October 1998) and has been administering it since its foundation.
• Have published, edited and personally financed the bi-monthly Archimedia--the first and only Archives and Records Management Journal in Türkiye; disributed free of charge to 300 subscribers from July 1993 till March 1998 almost without interruption.
• Have founded ArchiMac BBS--the first Macintosh BBS in Türkiye with a network connection, dedicated to the archives and the Mac community--out of personal funds and have been running it as its systems operator--again, free of charge--since March 1996.
